A Listserv mailing list is a private e-mail discussion group. You can use it to get last-minute updates on club-related activities. Join the KOPSC Listserv today! (for KOPSC MEMBERS ONLY).

To join our mailing list, just send an e-mail to kopsc-subscribe at yahoogroups.com Be sure to include your First and Last Name in the message text area so that the Group Moderator can verify you as being a current member of the ski club. You will receive a message back containing information on how to use the list.

To send a message to members using the listserv all you have to do is send an email
KOPSC at yahoogroups.com. The moderator will post the message for you. Once you are a member of the listserv you can also review old messages by signing into yahoo groups (there are over 2000 archived messages).

To change your e-mail address on the Listserv, you need to unsubscribe from your old address (send an e-mail to kopsc-unsubscribe at yahoogroups.com) and subscribe from your new address (follow instructions above).

The Monthly Mogul only comes out once a month, and even our Web site only gets updated every several days, so nothing is as timely as a message posted on the Listserv. In addition, you can post notices that normally wouldn't be accepted for the Mogul or the Web site (such as the two free passes to Blue Mountain).

My e-mail is through my workplace - how can I be on Listserv without receiving notices at work?
You can register on the Listserv by using a free e-mail account through sites like Yahoo! and Hotmail. You can access them via the Internet, and they won't interfere with your workplace e-mail account.

Won't I get a million e-mails a day from being on the Listserv?
Typically, only a couple of notices a week are posted on our Listserv, so you won't get inundated with unwanted e-mail. In addition, we've developed a users policy to make sure our members aren't posting spam or otherwise inappropriate messages. And yes, we're enforcing it.

How do I sign up?
To join our mailing list, just send an e-mail to kopsc-subscribe at yahoogroups.com. How do I post a notice on the Listserv?
Using the e-mail account that is registered on our Listserv, simply type in the address
kopsc at yahoogroups.com. It will then go out to everyone who is a registered member.

What kinds of messages are allowed on the Listserv?
Basically, your message needs to be about an activity or event that the club membership might be interested in, such as those listed above. Maybe you've got some skis you want to sell. Maybe you want to get a group together to go to a Sixers game. Maybe you want to let people know about a bike ride that's coming up. They should not be personal messages, spam, e-mail jokes, chain letters or political crusades.
