Early Sign-up Trip (On or after August 10th)
KOPSC is going to Lake Placid for New Year's, 2012. This trip is ideal for all members of KOPSC – the skier, the casual skier, and the non-skier who wants to get away for a New Year's Holiday. We are staying at the High Peaks Resort, overlooking Mirror Lake with a pool and hot-tub, right in the middle of Lake Placid, site of the 1932 and 1980 Olympics. We are skiing (optional) at Whiteface Mountain.
The skiers can hop on the free Lake Placid shuttle or take our own bus up to Whiteface for fun on the slopes. The non-skiers can just relax or shop at the quaint shops until they drop, go cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating or try a run on the bobsled or skeleton runs. The casual skiers can do it all!
Trip Includes:
- R/T bus transportation – King of Prussia area to Lake Placid, NY (leaving Friday, December 30, 2011 at 12 noon – returning Monday, January 2, 2012 early afternoon)
- Three nights lodging (double occupancy) at the High Peaks Resort
- Two queen beds per room – limited king bedrooms available on request
- 1-day lift ticket for Whiteface ski area; add a 2nd day for only $20
- Buffet breakfast daily
- Food and beverages on the bus
Plan now to join trip leader Karen Hanson  and assistant trip leader Joanie Silveri on a New Year’s trip that will be just as fabulous as the New Year's trip to Quebec they helped run two years ago -- with only half the travel time.

This is an early signup trip limited to 42 spots. See the club's ski trip policy to determine your eligibility for early signup. Also see the club's late payment policy before you decide to participate. Checks should be mailed to address below with envelopes postmarked no earlier than August 10th.
