Sailing Sailing!! |
All aboard for KOPSC’s 16 th Annual Sailing Weekend Adventure! We will depart from Annapolis , Md. , on the scenic Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay , about 2 1/2 hours southwest of Philadelphia . We are looking forward to another great trip this year, and hope you can join us.

Sign-up begins April 12, first-come first serve. Envelopes postmarked before April 12 th will be put with all other April 12 th registrations. Normal KOPSC cancellation policies apply. |
The trip will begin Thursday evening, as we gather at our home marina, stow our gear and visit with friends, before retiring for the night on our boats. Friday morning we'll set out for a day of sailing followed by an evening of good food, drink and camaraderie, with the boats rafted together at anchor. After a leisurely breakfast on Saturday, we will sail through the day and then spend the evening as guests at a marina in Baltimore , Maryland . Finally on Sunday, we will enjoy our last day on the water before returning to our home marina in the afternoon.
We will be sailing and sleeping on midsized (about 35 foot) cruising sailboats and will have approximately 4 boats. If you've never sailed this type of boat before, they are a bit like floating mobile homes, with kitchens, heads (mini-bathrooms), showers and beds. The crew provisions the boat with food and drinks. Details and more information will be provided upon signup and the pre-departure party. This is a great trip for beginners, with plenty of experienced crew members who will be happy to show you the ropes.
