Membership Benefits

Hello all. This is your membership chairperson Cheryl. I am reminding you of all the great stuff your membership gets you. First and foremost, did you know that you could save $5 on your membership fee if you send it in before August 31, 2010? Once you are a member you will receive the King of Prussia Ski Club Monthly Mogul – our monthly news letter. This is a quick, one stop information source. Find out what you missed or what is going to happen that you don’t want to miss. Second, your membership gets you onto our Listserv. Another great source for club information – letting you know of what’s coming up that didn’t get into the Monthly Mogul, or what someone is doing on the spur of the moment.

Also, by being a member, you are automatically a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council (www.easternpaskicouncil.org) and the National Ski Council Federation (www.skifederation.org). These two groups offer a load of discounts – check out their web sites.

Another great membership perk are the club bucks. What, you ask, are club bucks? They are worth $5.00 to the bearer for discounts on membership, the banquet, and other club events. They are also transferable to other members in the club. How do you get club bucks? Easy, get a friend, coworker, relative, etc, to join the club and tell them to list your name on the membership form. That’s it. They join, and you get the bucks. The more people you get to join the club, the more bucks you get. There was someone last year who paid for their entire banquet cost with club bucks. It’s really worth something.

Here are some updates for you on maintaining your KOPSC membership.

• Make sure that your membership is up to date in order to participate in the many summer adventures planned.  Also, if you wish you to take advantage of early ski trip sign-up, you MUST be a member in good standing by May 31, 2009.
  
• Membership directories are still available.  If you want one mailed to you, please send me an envelope (with your address on the outside) large enough for the directory and postage no less than $1.50.   If you still need your membership card, that can be mailed to you by sending me a self addressed stamped envelope.
  
• And lastly, I still have plenty of KOPSC merchandise available for purchase.  The neck wallets are not only good for ski travel but general travel all year long.  And the coozies are great to keep your beverage cold in the summer.  If you wish to purchase any of these, please contact me and we'll work out the details.

If you are a returning member, please pick up your membership card at the next meeting at the membership table. If you are a new member to the club, congratulations!!! Your membership card will be mailed to you.
