World Renowned Fine Arts Collection:
Barnes Foundation Museum
(Currently Full, Waitlist Only)
Join us for a trip to the famous Barnes Foundation Museum. The museum was established by Albert C. Barnes in 1922 to "promote the advancement of education and the appreciation of the fine arts."
Located in a 12-acre arboretum, the museum is home to one of the world's largest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist and early modern paintings, with extensive holdings by Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne, Renoir and Modigliani, as well as important examples of African sculpture. Entry to the exhibits is timed, so punctuality is important. An audio tour of the gallery is available for $7.00 per person on a first-come, first-served basis. After viewing the exhibits, we will stop for lunch (optional) at Hymie's Merion Delicatessen & Restaurant in Merion Station ( 342 Montgomery Ave., http://www.hymies.com).
